Peek (Polyetheretherketone)
PEEK is a high temperature resistant semi crystalline thermoplastic. PEEK has a high heat deflection temperature of 600° F, a short-term service temperature of 572° F and long term service temperature of 500° F. PEEK has excellent engineering properties including high dimensional stability, very high stiffness, inherent flame resistance and chemical resistance. The material also resists a wide range of solvents and exposure to radiation.

Features and Benefits of PEEK
PEEK’s chemical resistance, temperature reliability and its compressive strength make it suitable for seals, valves, back-up rings and insulators. Thanks to PEEK’s superior strength-to- weight ratio, engineers can use PEEK to replace heavier metal parts. PEEK can tolerate mechanical and physical stress and also has excellent chemical resistance and high heat tolerance, which together provide this material with advantages over metal parts. PEEK’s excellent dimensional stability combined with high creep resistance, supports the suitability of PEEK for the most complicated machined parts.
